Oblivious to the fact that they are being tracked by Ozgar and his Shadow Syndicate goons, Becstar and the Restal-08 crew make their way to the living crystal planet of Nephrite. There, they hope to discover Anyssa’s location and find the missing piece to this intergalactic puzzle.

My Opinion

Space Indiana Jones! That’s what this issue reminds me of! Becstar and the crew have made it to Nephrite in order to search for Anyssa!

This issue is an absolute blast. It is full of humour and there’s plenty of action! Kicking on from the opening issue, the story continues as we join the crew in space, approaching Nephrite. The best part of comics is that you can do anything with them, you can even make a planet of crystalized inhabitants that allow your artists and colourists to go wild.

This is exactly what has happened in issue 2 and I couldn't compliment it more! Lorenzo has done exceptional work on the decisions for the planet and its inhabitants, the landscape is enticing to look at and the monsters both terrifying and incredibly detailed. Sweeney has done a phenomenal job at colouring the issue, the colours are vibrant and captivating.

Joe has kept up the mysterious intrigue from the kick off issue and added extra elements of background into Becstar’s past. The past is so incredibly interesting that I look forward to each ‘flashback’ to it. The story goes from strength to strength in what is becoming one of my favourite sci fi comics that is around at the moment.

The Becstar team continue to work wonders on a really excellency sci fi comic that ensures that you will have an amazing time reading. Not only is the story thrilling, mysterious and fun but the art and colours are absolutely spot on and ensure they marry with Joe’s writing in perfect unison. I look forward to the continuation of Becstar and the team's journey! Now … I'm off to find myself a luck dagger!
